My Nighttime Skincare Routine
Beauty Tutorials By Christine Cherbonnier
Hi, I'm Christine Cherbonnier.
I'm a professional makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you my nighttime skincare routine.
So, let's start!
First, I'm going to cleanse my skin. I like to use a heavier oil or gel cleanser at night for cleansing; this is the REN Skincare Clean Canvas Jelly Cleanser, I use this one daily.
I take a little bit of this oil gel cleanser and massage it into my skin, I feel like it goes deeper into the pores as a gel oil combo, and gets all of the makeup out of my pores at night.
I take my Face Halo Pad, I wet the pad and use it to scrub my skin, it helps me gently exfoliate my sensitive skin, I also take the face halo pad and scrub my lips.
Now that I am cleansed, I apply The Good Vitamin C Serum by Dr. Barbara Sturm. This serum is a favorite of mine. It's a small molecule of vitamin c, so I know it's really going to penetrate my skin barrier.
After I cleanse and apply my vitamin c serum I apply a face mask. This is the Black Pearl Charcoal Detoxify Purify Balance Face Up Mask by Knesko.
These are multi-use masks, You can use them multiple times throughout the week.
I apply the mask to my skin, and while it heats up on my skins surfac, I use my facial roller by Ildi Pikar to press the product into my skin and promote blood flow. I kind of hold on to the mask and just de-puff under my eye; you can go up onto your forehead and just sort of get rid of all that stress from your day.
All right, after this has cooked and it's been on for a while, I’m going to remove the mask. You can see all of that hydration, and especially in the summer, it helps to keep the skin clean, hydrated, and healthy.
Look at all that beautiful skincare. After I do my face mask, I will go straight to a moisturizer. Today I'm going to use the heavier Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream for facial massage, I use this heavier cream when I need more slip underneath my tool.
I'm going to take this cream (a very, very rich cream) developed as a day cream but I use it as a night cream. I’m going to massage this all into my skin, you can also just gently press it in to your skin.
So, now that my skin has a layer of moisture on, I'm going to use this little tool - Wooden Face Lift Massager. I like to take this guy and just sort of rub it underneath my cheekbone I put more pressure under here than I do around my eye, this releases so much tension being held along your cheekbone.
You want to always push the liquid and tool towards the lymph nodes.
You can even go up on the forehead, apply it between your eyebrows to lift your brow, and sort of rub the pressure points above your nose, between your eyes, and up to your eyebrows. It feels really good. You can also focus it along your brow bone.
Lastly you can take the tool, and see this really strong muscle here on the neck. I like to sort of push all the toxins towards my lymph nodes and release all the stress that I hold along this neck region.
Now that I'm all massaged and moisturized, I'm going to pop an eye cream on.
I'm going to use Dr. Barbara's Sterm Eye Cream. Her products are perfect for sensitive skin like mine.
They are almost all fragrance free and free unnecessary iritating ingredients. And most important: They never sting under my eye or irritate my skin.
All right, next, I incorporate an item that is good for skincare and my overall health care. I take the Nature Code Raw Prenatal vitamin at night whenever I do my skincare routine. This helps not only my skin but also my overall health.
Lastly, I'm going to use the most incredible LED light. I use the MMSPHERE by Dr. Ellen Marmur.
Whenever I'm done with my routine, I just sit in my bed and use the ultraviolet light treatment set at the highest possible level.
This treatment makes a difference on my skin, which is why I always finish my routine with it.
So, this is my nighttime skincare routine.
